Additional prerequisites for a Dubai student visa

  • Obtain a formal admission offer letter from a licensed university in Dubai.
  • Pay the initial tuition fee and visa processing charges as requested by the institution.
  • Submit a valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity) and recent passport-size photos.
  • Provide proof of sufficient funds or a financial undertaking/sponsorship document.
  • Complete medical fitness tests upon arrival, including chest X-ray and blood test.
  • Visa applications are usually submitted by the university to Dubai Immigration authorities.

Dubai Student Visa Procedure

  • Choose a course and apply to your preferred Dubai university.
  • Receive a Conditional/Unconditional Offer Letter (typically within 1–3 weeks).
  • Submit required academic and identity documents for admission verification.
  • Pay the tuition fee and visa processing charges to the university.
  • University applies for your student visa to Dubai Immigration (processing: 2–4 weeks).

Terms and Conditions of Work Permits for International Students – Dubai

  • Students can work part-time up to 15 hours per week during classes.

  • A work permit from MOHRE is required before starting any job.
