TOEFL or Test Of English As Foreign Language is a test to asses an individuals understanding and usage of the English Language. It is taken by non-native speakers of English and is mandatory for studies in the USA . The four main skills tested are Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

The test is available online and can be taken on prior booking online or by phone. The test fee is $150 and the test scores are valid for 2 years. It is recommended that students take training for the test as the format is quite challenging and prior practice is required by English medium students as well as students from vernacular mediums. The duration of training for each student is dependant on his current level of English.

Pyramid provides coaching to its USA bound students. Students can enroll for fulltime (3 months) or crash courses (1 month) and the classes are conducted on all 7 days of the week. Students can sit into 1 or more batches in morning or evening as per their requirement and are fully supported by the administrative staff to sit extra hours for practice. Students are provided exclusive and comprehensive material that supports their classroom learning effectively. The library holds the latest collection of books to equip the student. Books and CDs are also provided in the library for the students to sit and practice extra hours. The students are provided with 10 PBT and 11 iBT exercises for their home and tens of other exercises in the classroom. The coaching covers training in American accent, syntax, grammar and vocabulary. The faculties are specially trained to impart the learning effectively and each student is monitored and tested independently on a periodical basis. In the listening module a list of Americanisms is provided and discussed with the students. The faculties discuss several essays, writing styles, and structures in classroom and rigorously practice it with students. Regular mock tests are conducted on an individual one to one basis with student to expose them to real time testing and several topics are discussed at great length to make students thorough with the knowledge of their surroundings.
